Comparing task!

National Trust leaflet entitled '50 things to do before you're 11 3/4'.

showing exactly what counts as a portion of fruit or vegetables.

How to encourage healthier drinking practices in young children.

I chose to link these three leaflets/posters together by choosing the target audience as the main category which links the texts together. Each one is aimed at children in some way, i found this easy to distinguish because of the bright colours used and the large images that were on the leaflets. By using graphology you are more likely to attract the younger audience as colourful posters are more eye catching. Also each of the posters use lexis as the words they use are not complex and contain simple language which is easy for children to read.

  1. AO1: You are demonstrating an awareness of the Frameworks Melissa, but your discussion of them is a bit vague (all texts using lexis) Be more evaluative and specific in your response.
AO3: Although you have mentioned the target audience of these texts, the response lacks analysis in terms of how the linguistic features of the text relate to them. Again you need to be much more specific in your response.
